Throne: Kingdom at War
Intro
Throne: Kingdom at War is a free-to-play Massive Multiplayer Online game that’s developed and published by Plarium, a well-known name in the gaming industry. It’s a browser-based MMO wherein you assume the role of a medieval lord in charge of his holdings and castles.
Backdrop
The game is set in the fantasy world of Amaria where the players are required to build their own armies and towns, to fight other clans, to expand and increase their holdings.
Gameplay
You’re put straight inside the medieval kingdom of Amaria where the king has just died. You’re now entrusted with the task of building your own resource buildings, military, town and army until you’re well prepared to go to war with the nearby towns, in an effort to prove your strength.
Not only can you wage war against these nearby towns, you can also collaborate with others, to win the tougher battles and move ahead in the game more conclusively and quickly. You lose or increase your reputation by losing or increasing your wealth.
You’re provided with couple of different combat strategies – player vs environment and player vs player.
Graphics
The graphics are absolutely stunning to say the least, as the developers have done a really good job of making the towns come alive with marching soldiers, flowing water, units training in the barracks and more! The animations and graphic features are of the same style as Nords: Heroes of the North and Vikings: War of Clans.
Conclusion
All in all, as far as the city-building strategy games go, this one’s not bad at all; and can be seated comfortably besides some of the best ones in the genre. While there may be some aspects you may not like, everyone’s guaranteed to find something or the other in it to enjoy!
